The Triple Threat Summer Academy provides professional acting, vocal and dance training to performers age 8-18 who are passionate about musical theater. The intensive will feature focused workshops designed to challenge young performers and expand their skills.
At the Triple Threat Summer Academy, in just 3 short weeks we will create memories, grow as artists and learn an entire show. The training program will end with a spectacular full length production of
THE WIZARD OF OZ: YOUTH EDITION.
Meet the Leadership Team

Kiona Reese
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
With an expanding two decade career in musical theater, voice acting, professional touring, arts education, entertainment event management, and international live theater performances across the globe, and at sea, Kiona, is thrilled to be diving into the West
Little Rock arts community. As a working artist in NYC and California, Kiona has performed at several regional theaters across the US, was a featured vocalist for New York Fashion Week, and even worked with celebrities like Simone Biles, Baby Bash, and Norah Jones.
Kiona found her love for theater and performing at a very young age, with one of her earliest performing memories in Southeastern music tours, earning accolades at national choral competitions, graduating from performing arts high school, and finally earning her degree while on scholarship in Theater Arts from Birmingham Southern College with a concentration in Vocal Performance. Kiona has offered coaching in musical theater, voice, and acting over the past decade and is beyond excited to not only jump into the arts
community here in West Little Rock, but continue to be a wealth of knowledge for your little artists.

Satia Spencer
MUSIC DIRECTOR
Satia is an elementary music teacher for students in kindergarten through fifth grades. She holds a BA in Music Education, a minor in Secondary Education, and is licensed to teach students grades PreK-12. Satia’s 13 years of teaching experience combined with 15 years of performance experience propelled her to leadership roles in several arts organizations and summer intensive programs in central Arkansas to include the following: Children’s vocal coach/director - Wildwood Academy of Music and the ARTS (WAMA), Performance Coach - MT STAGE (AEGIS), Assistant Program director/Dean of Students - High School Academy for the Stage (The REP) as well as director of several school and community musical theater productions to include Beauty and the Beast Jr., Into the Woods Jr., Annie, Once on This Island Jr., One Ninth (Broadway World Award - Best Director), and My Fair Lady (co-director).
“It is my philosophy that music and the arts are essential to the total wellness of humanity and helps to foster empathy and respect for others. My sincere hope is that students develop a lifelong appreciation of the arts and become pursuers of their dreams and goals.

CURRICULUM: At TTSA, our goal is to cultivate the West Little Rock community through the arts by providing a crash course, curriculum based, summer academy lead by industry professionals. Whether your little performer is ready to audition for Broadway tomorrow, or perhaps they just enjoy singing musicals on the way to school each morning, TTSA is here for you. Our curriculum is derived from real life professionals, who have not only studied the art for decades, but also have performed and taught theater across both the United States and around the world. At TTSA, your performer will gain a new found confidence as an artist, learn new and practical skills for both the real world and the theater world, all while being surrounded by other young performers with similar dreams and aspirations.
LOCATIONS & HOURS: Week-1 and Week-2 the TTSA will train at Rock City Dance Center (5 Innwood Circle, Little Rock) from 9am - 3pm. Week-3 the TTSA will be on site at the theater for Tech week at Wildwood Park for the Arts (20919 Denny Road, Little Rock) from 9am - 3pm. Performers may have later call times due to the performance schedule, and will be communicated in advance.
AUDITIONS: There are no auditions required for registration. Auditions will be held the first day of the academy.
TUITION/DEPOSITS: Tuition includes three weeks of TTSA, program T-shirt, costume rental for final performance, and snacks each day. Full program tuition is $725. Early Bird discount pricing is valid through 12/31/2025 and is $650. The Early Bird discount is taken off the deposit. A $275 deposit ($200 Early Bird) will be charged at the time of registration to hold your spot. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. Final payment of $450 is due May 5th, 2026.
REFUNDS: Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. There will be no refunds given on tuition, however a tuition credit can be issued (minus the deposit) to any camper that registered and can no longer attend, if notice is given before June 1, 2026. Tuition credits can be used for any classes/camps at Rock City Dance Center during the 2026 calendar year.

PERFORMANCES/TICKETS: Participants will ALL perform in the full-length production of WIZARD OF OZ: YOUTH EDITION. Show placement and casting will be determined during week 1 of TTSA. Detailed Ticket & Performance information will be shared with registered participants early summer 2026. Performances will be open to the public.
