COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS
CONWAY
2025-2026 Season 5
Who are we
At Rock City Dance Center, we are more than just classes and programs - we are a team. We are a community. Our mission is to train dancers not only to be exceptional technicians and artists, but also to instill in them the desire to be strong, responsible young men and women who work hard as individuals and value collaboration. In our competitive programs, we strive to create a positive and nurturing learning environment where success is not measured solely by awards, but by how each dancer develops and uses their talents to their fullest potential. Our goal is for every student to take pride in who they are and the progress they make. Our dancers who have a passion for performing get the opportunity to compete and thrive on stage with their friends and teammates. Through our competitive programs, dancers also learn the importance of determination, discipline, and time management— skills that are essential not only for success in dance, but also for achieving success in academics, careers, and personal life.
Company History
Rock City Dance Center opened in May 2010 in Little Rock under the direction of Kristen Sadler Pittman. The RCDC Company was founded that first year and started with 60 inaugural members . Since year one, the training programs at RCDC have been recognized for their talent and creativity. That first year, the RCDC Company produced three national champions and received two national choreography awards. Rock City quickly built a reputation for excellence in the competitive dance world regionally and nationally. RCDC is nationally known for training strong dancers who are not only quality technicians, but also incredible artists. RCDC expanded in 2021 by opening a second studio in Conway, Arkansas! Under the direction of Kiley Lefler, the Conway Competitive program launched in July of 2021. Kiley is a former student of Rock City Dance Center and always dreamed of the day Conway could have the same Rock City Dance Center experience right at their fingertips.

All-Star Training
At Rock City Dance Center, we have three competitive programs: Apprentice Company, RCDC Company, and All-Stars.
Each of these programs, founded on the pillars of Respect, Character, Dedication, and Creativity, works to empower dancers to become not just better performers, but better individuals as well.
APPRENTICE
Apprentice Company is the perfect transition for dancers who are ready to step up from recreational classes. It is specifically designed as an introduction to competition dance for dancers at the beginning and intermediate level. Members are divided by age, experience and ability, and can expect to dance 2 to 3 hours weekly.
Apprentice Company competes in two competitions, both in Central Arkansas, and performs in the Spring Recital in May. Auditions are held in July - dancers ages 4 to 18 are eligible to try out.
